- Number Two - Our content is original and our writing is professional (you won’t find spelling mistakes, typos, bad grammar and tortured phrases). Best of all, we provide valuable information for tourists AND locals.
- Number Three - We maintain Interactive features such as our Live Chat room and Message Board (bbs).
Design
Our design is professional. Viewers may not know why they like the look of Dot Org, but we do... it’s clean and consistent, well-organized, pleasing to the eye, easy to read, the navigation is intuitive and you won’t find any distracting, irritating dancing bunnies.
Marketing
- We aggressively market both Pender Harbour websites in both print and electronic media.
- We do not use pop-ups, banner ads or other blatant advertising items, and we don’t put cookies on anyone’s hard drive. We do not sell or distribute mailing lists, and we do not spam anyone.
- Our metatags are relevant. This means that search engines not only find us, but they place us at the top of the list.

Listings
Your Free Listing
- Organization Listings - Free of charge, your organization can have a three-line listing on the appropriate Local Groups page, including name, purpose, regular meeting and contact information. The catch? Your group must be based in Pender Harbour.
- Event Listings - Free of charge, your special event (annual or one-time) will be placed on the appropriate Calendar page. Please note that your event must be open to the public and not of a strictly commercial nature. The catch? Your event must be held in Pender Harbour-Egmont. Please provide, at least, the event name, date, time and place.
- Business Listings - You can have a free listing of your business name and telephone number on our sister site, Pender Harbour Dot Com, in a category of your choice. The catch? Your business must be located in Pender Harbour-Egmont, or owned and operated by a resident.
Additional Listings
An additional listing (or a regular listing if you don’t qualify for a free listing) is $4.99 a month.
For example, your bed-and-breakfast has a free listing on Pender Dot Com, but you’d like additional listings on the July Calendar and Getting Here pages here at Pender Dot Org. For less than $10 a month, you get three listings (one free, two paid).
Add Descriptive Text
Add three lines of descriptive text (this size, this format) for $3.99 a month to your free listing or to other listings. Additional lines or partial lines are $1.50 each.
Add a Logo or Artwork
Add your full-colour logo or other artwork to your listing for $5.99 a month. Please note, size matters— your logo can’t take up the whole darn page! And, no animations please— we won’t let you embarrass yourself with dancing bunnies.

Your Links
Reciprocal Links are Free
If you put a link to www.penderharbour.org from your organization’s website, we’ll return the favour by putting a link to your website here on Pender Harbour Dot Org, free of charge.
All you have to do is send us a link to your URL (internet address; you know, that “www...” stuff) where the link to our website appears. We ask only that you have your own, dedicated website— not a page or listing on a bulk host or blog website such as MySpace.
Non-reciprocal Links
If you'd rather not link your site to ours (but we can't imagine why you wouldn't) links to your website are $5.99 per month each.
Onsite Links
If you’d like one or more links from other pages to your listing, they’re $2.99 a month each. For example, your annual fishing derby is listed on the May Calendar page, but you also want links on the Boating and Fishing pages. Same idea for business and organization links.

Your Dedicated Page
How ‘bout an entire page dedicated to your group, event or business, right here on Pender Harbour Dot Org? Here’s what we’ll do for you:
- Your organization, event or business will be showcased on its own page, with lots of room for all you want to say, and linked throughout Pender Harbour Dot Org.
- Include your logo, photographs, other artwork, links to other websites, e-mail addresses, contact information and more.
- Your dedicated page will have its own navigation-bar button on each page within its site section... priceless!
- Your page will have a banner consistent in style and format with all other pages, to provide a seamless visit. In other words, it won’t look like an advertisement or pop-up.
- We give you three links to your page from other website pages on Pender Harbour Dot Org and another free link from our sister site, Pender Harbour Dot Com.
- We embed effective metatags so that search engines can find your page, and we submit your page to the top five or more search engines so it will show up when someone wants to find it.

What’s the Catch?
Placement of Links and Listings
Your additional listings and links can appear on any page/s except Home and the main pages, Calendar, Community, Recreation, Nature, Visitor Guide and Site Info. However, you can have your listing on any page/s of your choice within those main site sections.
Setup Fee
A setup fee is charged for entering new information and uploading it to our server, regardless of the number of listings and links entered. But, this fee is waived for your free listing and link— that's why we call it a free listing.

All services must be paid one year in advance, and your material will be published upon receipt of payment.
We Reserve the Right
We reserve the right to refuse any listings, links and pages from businesses, groups and individuals for whatever whim strikes us at the time. Suffice it to say that, if we say “no” we’ve got our reasons, and they probably relate to Rolex knockoffs, racism, pornography and miracle drugs in the Snake Oil category.
Copyright
Please note that we may ask for proof of copyright for any material that you want us to publish on Pender Harbour Dot Org. In other words, you can’t sneck someone else’s writing or photography off the internet and call it your own. This is theft, and it’s illegal. Really.

We strongly suggest that you don’t limit your promotional efforts to the internet, and we invite you to call us for a whole range of hardcopy promotional materials including business cards, posters, flyers, magnetic signs, menus and more.
