With 1,906+ hours of sunshine and only eleven days a year below 0°C, Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast is one of the pleasantest parts of the world to live, work and play.
It's called Sunshine Coast because we have more sunshine than almost anywhere in British Columbia— second only to Victoria airport, which is not nearly as interesting a place to hang out.
The climate is coastal temperate, with warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Vancouver Island shelters us from harsh Pacific Ocean weather systems, thus creating a “rainshadow” effect.
Winter in Pender Harbour is Umbrella Season, not Snowshovel Season!
