Bonfire Festival - est. 2006

Hospital Bay Day
Garden Bay, location of the former St. Mary's Hospital (Sundowner Inn), is the site of historical displays, tours and events including an arts/craft fair, marine demonstrations, competitions and special guests. Every second year, this event is held in conjunction with the Mission Boat Rendezvous.

Legion Salmon Derby - est. 1999
Legion, 604-883-0055
Established in 1999, this three-day fishing derby includes two days of fishing, a banquet, Calcutta draw, entertainment and prizes for almost everyone at the Pender Harbour Legion. Big winners weigh-in with the heaviest salmon and the heaviest cod. Tickets are $65, entrants limited to 100.

This old-time country fair features a full day of music, live entertainment, beer gardens, contests and competitions, food concessions, commercial displays, arts/crafts fair, children’s games and more at Lions Park on Hwy. 101. Shuttle service from Madeira Park. Organized by the Pender Harbour Lions Club.

Mission Boat Rendezvous
Every second year, Coast Columbia Mission Boats from all over the west coast of North America return to the former St. Mary's Hospital at Hospital Bay. The event features marine and historical displays, boat tours, special guests, arts & craft fair, marine competitions and concessions; coincides with Hospital Bay Day.

Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival

Est. 2005, the Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival is presented under the umbrella of the Pender Harbour Music Society at their intimate waterfront performance centre known as the Music School. The society reminds us every third weekend in August that “chamber music doesn’t bite.” Tickets, $25 per event or $90 for all four, are available at Harbour Insurance.

Sunshine Coast Wooden Boat Festival
This fourth annual Sunshine Coast festival of antique, classic and wooden boats will be held at Seafarer’s Park Aug. 1-4, 2008. This combined presentation of the Pender Harbour and Halfmoon Bay Auxiliary Coast Guard units includes hardhat diving and historical displays, hobby-scale wooden boat building classes and concessions.
